Sami Rhymes is an Award-Winning Spoken Word Artist, Poet and Author from London, UK who works internationally.<\/p>

Sami had her first poem published at the age of 9 in a young writers anthology. She released her debut collection\u00a020 Something<\/a><\/span><\/span>\u00a0in 2020 and has contributed poems to several publications including\u00a0It Will Be: The Black Experience<\/span><\/span>\u00a0and the\u00a0Words By<\/span><\/span>\u00a0anthology.<\/p>

From the playground to groundbreaking stages, Sami has performed and headlined at a number of public and private events & festivals in London, nationally and abroad in Malaysia and Europe. She has also won\u00a0International Slams in New Zealand, Abu Dhabi and locally in the UK.<\/span><\/p>

She has featured on a number of local radio stations including<\/span>\u00a0BBC Radio London<\/span><\/a>. Sami has also appeared on\u00a0<\/span>ITV News London<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>S1:E3 of the BAFTA winning\u00a0Sky Arts<\/a><\/span>\u00a0commissioned TV show Life & Rhymes and\u00a0Islam Channel<\/span>\u00a0<\/a>to name a few.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

2022<\/a>\u00a0saw Sami pick up \u201cBest Female Spoken Word Poet\u201d and also marked the release of\u00a0<\/span>her Debut EP\u00a0<\/span>Triple Threat<\/a>\u00a0.\u00a0 She has added to her catalogue since and her next<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>audio<\/a>\u00a0project set for release is\u00a0 \u201cSilent Battles\u201d .<\/span><\/p>

Sami uses rhyme as a means of release and therapy and through her spoken word inspires audiences to speak up and take action. Her poetry touches on everything from identity to communities and places, relationships, mental health, injustices and day to day experiences.\u00a0<\/p>
